My friends and I met a gentleman who sells pegion food, bang on CR Avenue, Kolkata, near girishpark. thousands of pegions flock there. elderly gentlemen, often accompanied with grandchildren get there, buy food (millet, wheat, lentil) and feed the pegions. he reavealed his sales : close to 300 kilos (660 lbs) of pegion food a day.
